[ClickPress, Tue Apr 04 2006] Although the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) links over 150 commonly used household chemicals to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological disorders, the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations exempts manufacturers from full labeling of products used for personal, family or household care.

Just what are you breathing in, in terms of off-gassing, when you buy a new product, say, for a baby's room? Over 100,00 adhesives have been introduced to our communities products since WWII and NONE have been regulated by FDA or otherwise.

Indoor Health Care Network provides medical caretakers important education about toxins in indoor air, drinking water, personal care, pet care, baby and cleaning products, along with resources to help consumers make their homes safer.

"The EPA has deemed indoor air quality one of the top five environmental health risks the U.S. faces today," says Bill Zimmermann, co-founder of Indoor health care Network, http://www.indoorhealthcare.com. "According to a Massachusetts special legislative report, 50% of all illnesses are caused by indoor air pollution. Our homes and the products and materials in them are literally making us sick."

Zimmermann says "Materials used to build and furnish homes today release the toxic chemicals they contain into the air."

Another finding was, man-made chemicals called xenoestrogens, which mimic estrogen in the human body and contribute to hormone imbalance, are found in common consumer products like plastics, detergents, birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy, and antibiotics in animal feed.

Consider myriad cleaning supplies and personal care products into the mix, and it's enough to make one sick.

"We hope to share what we've learned and teach people how to reduce or eliminate the toxins where they live and work," Zimmermann says, adding "Indoor Health Care network is concerned about the general environment, and seeks to crusade to aid its betterment. In the meantime, Indoor health Care Network can change, improve, and make more healthy your own indoor environment."
