New General Manager for Quinton Hazell

A number of exciting changes have taken place recently at Quinton Hazell. The acquisition from Dana, by Affinia sees the creation of a $1billion global business focused on the automotive aftermarket.

Affinia and Quinton Hazell sought a key player to lead the company into new and exciting challenges. It seemed only natural that Tony Locke stepped into the position of General Manager at Quinton Hazell with his background and history gained within the automotive industry.

Tony is an experienced Senior Executive and qualified Engineer who has a proven track record in Europe. His extensive experience has been gained from working for global industrial and automotive corporations.

In 1980 Tony began his career with Eaton Corporation and in 1983 he was promoted to Operations Director – Yale Trucks, Europe. In 1986 Tony was appointed Managing Director SU Automotive and this was followed by promotions to Group Managing Director, Echlin, Hobourn and Group Managing Director Echlin Fluid Systems, before becoming Vice President and General Manager of Dana Pump Division in 1999.

Tony is an Engineering graduate of the University of Salford. In 2001 he graduated from the Dana executive Program at the Universtiy of Michigan and in 2003 the Strategic Management Program.

Tony adds: ‘I am obviously very excited and honoured to be given the role of Quinton Hazell General Manager. The experience I’ve gained over the years gives me the confidence to rise to the challenges we face as a company. By pulling together and working as a team I know we can maintain and strengthen our position of industry leader in the Automotive Aftermarket for a long time to come.’

Tony officially started with Quinton Hazell on Monday 14th February at the head office based in Nuneaton.
