The SPACE 2005 trade fair will play host to the cattle (dairy and meat), pig, poultry and rabbit-breeding sectors, both French and international, from 13 to 16 September 2005. The event will be held in Rennes, in north-west France, in one of Europe’s major multi-species breeding zones. The Innov’ Space area will present the latest technological innovations in the sector.

SPACE 2005 will highlight innovations. No fewer than 80 new products in various categories will be rewarded by a jury of international experts in the farming sector. At the 2004 trade fair, 66 new products were awarded the Innov’ Space 2004 label – for competitiveness and operational profitability, for technical performance and time saving, and for improving working conditions and the environment.

One of Europe’s leading stock-breeding fairs, SPACE 2005 will present the best genetic livestock, with 700 rigorously selected animals on permanent exhibit throughout the fair. Competitions and auction sales of animals with a high genetic pedigree will also be held.

Nearly 1,400 exhibitors and more than 110,000 visitors – 10% from outside of France – are expected to attend. Visits to farms, factories and research institutes will be organised for international professionals.
