The Funny Side of Covent Garden announces second weekly show
London comedy club 'The Funny Side' launches a second weekly show on Wednesdays starting on the 24th May.
[ClickPress, Thu May 11 2006] From 24th May, comedy club “The Funny Side…Covent Garden” will be launching a second weekly show on Wednesdays.
The club, which currently runs every Sunday at The Corner Store, Wellington Street WC2 will be offering Wednesday night audiences the same top quality stand-up comedy that its Sunday shows have rapidly become known for, in addition to monthly improvised comedy shows.
David Bourn, The Funny Side’s Artistic Director said, “We’re thrilled to be launching a second weekly show at The Corner Store. We’ve been really pleased with the feedback we have received at the Sunday shows from both acts and audiences and its great to see the club developing”.
The first Wednesday will launch with The Funny Side’s monthly improvised comedy night, “Help!…Where’s My Script?” featuring Dave Bourn, Kylie Butler, Jonathan Cohen, Jane Colenutt and Grant Westbrook in addition to Alasdair Buddington visiting from the USA and Andy Fisher on piano.
