XyEnterprise, a leading developer of award-winning XML component content management and multi-channel delivery solutions, announced today that with the conclusion of its fiscal year 2009, which ended in March, the company has expanded in all areas of its business, including DITA and S1000D solutions. Of particular note is the addition of healthcare industry giant McKesson Corporation as a user of XyEnterprise’s flagship product Contenta DITA. McKesson represents an increasing trend for XyEnterprise â€" customers who are using Contenta DITA to better support and integrate their technical documentation, training assets and courseware development needs.

XyEnterprise continues to see a healthy mix of growth with both new customers and expansion of existing customer’s systems. Sales during the year spanned the company’s entire product line, including component content management, automated XML publishing and intelligent content delivery solutions. Customers deployed both Contenta DITA and Contenta S1000D solutions to address the growing need for collaboration, reuse and personalization of multi-lingual content, while others turned to XyEnterprise’s XML Professional Publisher (XPP) for their high-volume XML publishing needs. Another trend which continued in FY 2009 was the deployment of both Contenta and XPP in place of previously deployed content management and loose-leaf publishing systems that had not met customer requirements. XyEnterprise’s newest technology, LiveContent (formerly ContentaView), also enjoyed significant sales for companies looking to deliver dynamic, intelligent content via Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs).

Also significant was the renewed interest in dynamic publishing, which was driven largely by aerospace suppliers and the U.S. military. One prominent customer is the U.S. Navy, whose growing base of users has standardized on XyEnterprise for its end-to-end content management and publishing needs. In the Navy Enterprise Subscription License program (NESL), XyEnterprise technologies have become a vital part of SNIPP â€" Standard NAVSEA Integrated Publishing Process. SNIPP provides a standard method of creating, publishing and distributing the Navy’s technical products. Participation in the program guarantees that the data sent to the naval fleet is both timely and accurate.

“To meet the needs of today’s increasingly complex, global publishing environments, you need to deliver end-to-end solutions that help automate and streamline each step of the process â€" from content creation through review, translation and ultimately multi-channel delivery,” said Kevin Duffy, president and CEO. “XyEnterprise is uniquely positioned with proven products and superior professional services to deliver systems that reduce production costs and consistently demonstrate a solid return on investment for our customers,” Duffy said.

With a reputation for outstanding customer service and a commitment to deliver scalable, innovative solutions, XyEnterprise continues to enjoy extraordinary customer retention and referenceability. Despite the challenging economy, customers in financial services, publishing, technology and aerospace and defense demonstrated the value and performance of XyEnterprise technologies and services by expanding their implementations.
