Steven D. O’Connell, Tax Attorney and resident of Hingham, Mass., has recently joined Damon, Topham & Company, LLC, a certified accounting and business advisory firm in Marshfield, Mass.

[ClickPress, Mon May 15 2006] Steven D. O’Connell, Tax Attorney and resident of Hingham, Mass., has recently joined Damon, Topham & Company, LLC, a certified accounting and business advisory firm in Marshfield, Mass.

In his role as Tax Attorney at Damon, Topham & Company, O’Connell will be responsible for preparing personal tax returns for high net worth individuals. He will also advise Damon, Topham’s business clients of potential tax issues.

For two years previous to joining Damon, Topham, O’Connell was a Tax Attorney for Pannell, Kerr & Forster of Norwell. Prior to that, O’Connell was both a Tax Attorney and Software Designer at Block Financial Corporation in Cambridge where he was a key developer of “Tax Cut” software program.

O’Connell holds a Bachelor of Art in History from Boston University and a Master’s degree in business from the University of Detroit, Michigan. He received a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, Boston in 1987 and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association the same year. From 1995 to 1996, O’Connell completed extensive courses in Boston University’s School of Graduate Tax program. In addition to being a Massachusetts Bar Association member, O’Connell also belongs to the Federal Bar Association. During his free time, O’Connell is an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts.

He is a native of Weston, Mass.
