American Kite Surfing Association Profiles Kickers and Sliders

[ClickPress, Wed Jun 07 2006] Kickers and Sliders offer a high adrenaline new discipline to kite surfing. Ramps and rails are built and securely placed in the water. They are used to slide up or along and can be combined with freestyle. If they are not kite surfed correctly they can seriously harm the surfer or damage their kit, so helmets must be worn and surfers must unhook (without a leash) as they are attempting this feat. This side of the sport is for advanced kite surfers and is taking the sport in the direction of skateboarding.

This dramatic interest in the athletically demanding sport has given AKSA founders encouragement about the value of their newly founded organization.
