Rising new legal star joins Oxley & Coward

Oxley & Coward Solicitors of Rotherham has appointed Ruksana Ellahi to the position of Assistant Solicitor. She specialises in Wills, Probate, Inheritance Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney, Court of protection and elderly client advice.

Ruksana completed her training contract with Hellewell Pasley & Brewer Solicitors in Batley, West Yorkshire. Upon qualifying in May 2007, she relocated to the West Midlands to set up a Private Client Department at the Wolverhampton office of Dunham Brindley & Linn Solicitors, now DBL Talbots LLP.

Ruksana was educated at Mirfield Grammar School in West Yorkshire and continued on to Mirfield Sixth form Centre where she obtained 4 ‘A’ Levels, before completing her Law Degree and Legal Practice Course at Huddersfield University.


Commenting on the appointment, Ruksana said: "What really attracted me to Oxley & Coward is the firm’s traditional service values and its excellent links with the local community. In her spare time Ruksana participates in local community voluntary work near her home, working with disadvantaged teenagers during the school holidays. She is also an orange belt in Karate, so watch out!
