The process involves the analysis on a number of factors; your attitude to risk, your finances, reasons for buying and so on. The clever bit is then comparing your profile to all the opportunities out there around the world, and recommending where you should look to invest to reach your goals. Obviously it cannot achieve the impossible (“I want enormous capital growth with no risk and I have £2,000 to invest”!), but you may be surprised by what can be achieved without over-stepping your comfort zone or budget.
