[ClickPress, Tue Jul 11 2006] As mom always said, eat your fruits and vegetables! J.P. Licks, the homemade ice cream and fresh roasted coffee café with seven shops in and around Boston, Mass., takes “nutrition” a step further by introducing a Fresh Cucumber ice cream as well as a few of the most refreshing, fruitiest concoctions around this July.
Making all of their frozen dessert treats from their own scratch recipes at their Jamaica Plain store and headquarters, J.P. Licks’ “coolest” concoctions this July include a scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, with homemade pound cake topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and sweet strawberries. A Fresh Honey Dew sorbet and Fresh Lemon sorbet; Watermelon sherbet and Red Raspberry sherbet; Strawberry Banana Tango Lactose Free and Black Raspberry Chip hard yogurt round out J.P. Licks’ “fruitful” line.
For discerning palates and those folks looking to incorporate veggies into their diet in a fun, new way, J.P. Licks’ unique Fresh Cucumber ice cream is just the ticket.
“The Fresh Cucumber ice cream and the Honey Dew Sorbet are unusual but so very tasty. They both provide a crisp, sweet flavor that makes them a great afternoon ‘pick me up’ on a humid day or the perfect dessert after dining out,” explained Vince Petryk, founder and owner of J.P. Licks’ stores.
Several mouthwatering, extremely rich flavors are also available for a limited time this summer: Peanut Butter Oreo, Chocolate Brownie and Butter Pecan ice cream.
