[ClickPress, Wed Sep 09 2009] Vibe Design Group is proud to announce its recognition of excellence at the Building Designers Association of Victoria 2009 Annual Dinner.

The Award Ceremony was held at Zinc, Federation Square on Friday 31st July. It was a successful night for Vibe Design Group, with two projects recognised in a gallery of strong competition.

Hughes Project received the award for Residential Design – New Houses $1M + Construction. The design was commended for being a striking, carefully composed and resolved project. The geometric articulated street façade offers an exciting entry approach flanked by the swimming pool and arriving at the collaboration and orchestration of cantilevered rooves. The elevated building boasts a restrained material palette complemented by the natural environment and an uninterupted spectacular view across lap pool to the coastal landscape beyond.

Tasman Project received the award for Most Effective Use of Steel. The Alterations and Additions to the property involved the design of detached Guest House where steel portals appear as though speared through the ‘beach house’ styled core. The angled floating second storey wings are supported by a unique steel structure that adds another dimension to the aesthetics of the properties amazing transformation.
