[ClickPress, Fri Jul 14 2006] MEDICAMAT of France has just launched its new technique for face and neck rejuvenation, called Aquarejuvenation®. Absolutely painless and non invasive, this therapy, based on hydrodynamics, involves a threefold process: bio-peeling, penetration of high-pressure water micro-jets, and application of specific cosmetics. It is usually applied by health and beauty professionals — plastic surgeons, dermatologists, cosmetic medicine specialists and beauticians.
The patented process developed and marketed by MEDICAMAT involves three stages. First, the bio-peeling of the stratum corneum is achieved by projecting a powder made of ground fruit pits onto the skin. The effect of this procedure is to regenerate the live cells of the epidermis and to facilitate micro-jet penetration.
Second, the penetration of high-pressure water micro-jets is ensured. Pressure ranges from 15 bars to 20 bars, depending on the facial area to treat. These micro-jets include previously solubilised active cosmetic substances, i.e. vitamin C, minerals and plant extracts that are natural anti-ageing agents. The water and active substances penetrate all the way through to the papillary dermis.
Finally, the process entails the application of specific MEDICADERM® cosmetics — combining a concentrated anti-ageing serum (Medica Rejuv®) with a protective and dermis-healing cream (Medica Derm®). This range is completed by an anti-UV cream for pigmented spots (Medica Sun®), a bleaching serum (Medica White®), and an anti-seborrhoea serum for acne-prone and oily skins. All these products are hypoallergenic and guaranteed free of perfume, colouring or paraben- and phenoxyethanol-type preservatives.
Depending on the type, age and condition of the skin and on the desired outcome, an initial treatment of three to five sessions, 10 to 15 days apart, is recommended, followed by one to three sessions of maintenance therapy, which is usually enough to consolidate the results achieved.
These results include a revived radiance of the person’s skin, which appears well hydrated after treatment; an even complexion; a reduction in the fine lines and wrinkles on the skin; a fading of pigmented spots; the attenuation of acne scars; a considerable improvement in the skin’s firmness and in the skin’s elasticity on the face and neck; and, finally, a redefined facial contour.
MEDICAMAT will present the Aquarejuvenation® technique at several trade shows and congresses in the coming year.
