FEDERER AND WILSON WIN AGAIN AT THE 2006 CHAMPIONSHIPS
Sports Marketing Surveys 22nd Racket, Clothing and Equipment Census at the Wimbledon Championships has shown that Wilson has maintained its position as the overall number 1 racket of choice at the 2006 Championships, and was again used by reigning champion Roger Federer.
[ClickPress, Wed Jul 19 2006] Sports Marketing Surveys 22nd Racket, Clothing and Equipment Census at the Wimbledon Championships has shown that Wilson has maintained its position as the overall number 1 racket of choice at the 2006 Championships, and was again used by reigning champion Roger Federer.
Ladies Singles winner Amelie Mauresmo fought her way to victory on Wimbledon’s courts using a Dunlop racket, which was visible on the show courts* for a total of 9 hours and 23 minutes, while Federer’s winning Wilson racket was visible on the show courts* for 11 hours and 58 minutes.
Babolat continues to be the preferred racket of Ladies Singles competitors, with the Men’s Singles dominated by Head. Amongst the juniors, Wilson was the racket of choice.
The battle between Nike and adidas to claim the number one footwear brand has continued in the 2006 Championships, and these two brands now account for over two thirds of all player footwear at the Championships.
