Internationally collected artist Daniel H. Hochstein has announced an exhibition and sale of his original art work on August 19 and 20, at the 12th Annual Juried Art Show On The Green, at Montauk, NY.

This show will take place during the hours of 10:00 am - 6:00 pm both days, rain or shine.

About the artist and his work:

Daniel H. Hochstein is a self-taught artist, who creates varied works in paint, drawing, photographic, and electronic mediums.

Hochstein was born and raised in the borough of Queens, New York City.

He began creating pen & ink drawings in his early teens. The artist now works in acrylics, oils and other mediums.

Hochstein has traveled extensively in Western Europe and North America, and draws on his varied life experiences to inspire his artistic creations.

His works are in private collections in the United States, Germany, Russia and Australia.

The artist’s work has appeared in publications such as: the New York Times, Boston Globe and Art Business News.

Hochstein’s body of work includes realistic and surrealistic pieces, created in oil, acrylic, charcoal, ink and graphite. He describes his inspiration as coming from stress, loneliness, a perceived “lack of time”, and the need to "express concepts that cannot be explained with words”.

The artist’s path through life has led him from New York City, to Eastern Long Island, the San Francisco Bay area, Europe and New Jersey.

Hochstein currently works from his studio in Northern New Jersey.
