Seniors Invited to South Shore Elder Services Annual Picnic

Seniors, put on your dancing shoes and come enjoy South Shore Elder Services’ Annual Picnic on Thursday, August 17th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pageant Field in Quincy, Mass. This year’s theme is “Sock Hop” and there will be plenty of line dancing, singing and fun. South Shore Elder Services, a non-profit agency in Braintree, provides valuable resources and services to elders and caregivers throughout the South Shore area.

[ClickPress, Tue Aug 01 2006] Senior residents of the 11 towns that South Shore Elder Services serves (Braintree, Cohasset, Hingham, Holbrook, Hull, Milton, Norwell, Quincy, Randolph, Scituate and Weymouth) are cordially invited to partake in South Shore Elder Services Nutrition Department’s entertaining picnic. Bateman Senior Meals, the caterers for the event who also provide all the meals for the Meals on Wheels program, is generously donating all of the delicious food.

Lunch will be served at 12 p.m. A $3 donation per meal is asked of picnic attendees.

“The picnic is a great day out and a nice way to gather with friends. We’ve had a terrific turnout in previous years and last year more than 400 seniors were in attendance,” explained Jayne Davis, Nutrition Director at South Shore Elder Services.
