Peacock Bar is proud to announce its “It’s a Office Christmas Party Scotty But Not As We Know It” season running from December 1st to December 24th 2009 with free burlesque, cabaret, Djs, dancing and speed dating all served with a fabulous traditional three course Christmas meal every afternoon and evening.

The show, DJ’s and dancing
Christmas Lunch / Dinner  is served with six shows by three performers. One will be a romantic singer in the Dean Martin / Frank Sinatra tradition (but beware they do so like the ladies), the second a burlesque performer/singer (to keep the boys happy)  and the third  well lets just say he/she/ the transsexual will be livening things up a bit (in a cat amongst the pigeons kind of way!).  After lunch / dinner  (whenever that might be!)  we have  more cabaret and dancing with rubbish 80/90s cheesy Djs  for that real cheapo office Christmas party feel (you know the one where you make a pass at the receptionist  and she slaps you) before we kick you all out about in the early hours of the morning  well sizzled (or about 5ish if coming for lunch)

Cheffie  has been busy too and prepared a super duper Christmas 3 course  buffet /sit down menu at £20 /£25 per head which is very proud of . He says “you no likkka my menu I commma sticka my spatula where sun no shinne!

Cream of parsnip and honey soup with sunflower bread and butter
Duck orange and cranberry pate with brioche
Smoked Salmon, goat's cheese and chive mousse roulade with toasted white bloomer
 
Main
Roast free range turkey with cranberry and chestnut stuffing, sausages wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables
Salmon Wellington with mushroom stuffing, crushed new potatoes and wild mushroom sauce
Roasted butternut squash, parsnip and sage risotto
 
Sweets
Homemade Christmas pudding with dark rum sauce and brandy butter
Rich chocolate mousse tart
Treacle tart with vanilla ice cream

Stars In Their Eyes, Cocktail Lessons and Speed Dating
Fancy going on stage? Well whether you like it or not our performers are looking for victims … ooops I mean volunteers from every table so tough ! For wannabe James Bond types our resident cocktail supremos will be hosting cocktail lessons early in an attempt to stop you getting too drunk too early (that’s for later boys and girls ). For the young free and single we are also putting on a bit of a speed dating thing too compeered by one of our performers so do remember to look your best as you never know who you might meet. Come on let your work mates see how really awful at pulling you really are! Finally do let us know in advance what our company does so our performers can take the piss out it! And that’s not to mention lots of stupid Christmassy things like crackers, poppers (no not that kind) and stupid hats we are going to be liberally sprinkling around the place.

Oh and it's all recorded by our photographers for ever too plus if you tell us something about your company our performers can prepare material specially for your Company Christmas Party.  Our host with the mostest will also be on hand to make sure everyone has a very very good time.

Pay and Rations
Cheffie’s three course buffet / sit down Christmas special is £20 /£25 per head. For shared Christmas Party bookings  we recommend a minimum group size of 15.  For 80 or more people we recommend considering booking an exclusive Christmas Party  as we can then prepare an a la carte menu of performers and food for you.  There is no fee for an exclusive Christmas Dinner booking although there is a minimum spend of £5,000 on food and drinks. 
 
Come on having your Office Christmas Lunch / Dinner Party at the Peacock  has got to be more fun than some boring old pub or restaurant plus you get your chance to humiliate your boss by putting him on stage with our performers with a boogie afterwards.  And even better he/she cannot escape as we have a performer dressed up as a Giant Chicken to drag him/her onto the stage if he/she is too chicken to go up on stage by themselves. (oh but for any bosses reading this we can be nice to you too!).
