The Ill-Fated First Date For Ian Beale

The long-time beloved Eastenders’ character, Ian Beale, has seemingly attracted more female attention throughout the series than Haagen-Dazs Baileys Ice-cream, Ferrero Rocher and chocolate Flakes put together over the years but most recently he split from his latest on screen wife, Jane, and is now a single parent. So he decides to try and move on and joins an online dating site. When it comes to a challenge seeking a new date, partner or love in your life; how do you think the likes of Ian Beale would fair?

Point 1: Don’t try to impress her by inviting her to your local hostelry. There’s far too many people who know you and may delight in embarrassing you.

Point 2: At all costs remember your date’s name. Getting it wrong is not worth contemplating and could result in egg or a drink in your face, and you can wave goodbye to a second date.

Point 3: Don’t try impressing with expensive champagne, particularly if you’re not sure you have the money to pay and end up asking your date to pay.

Point 4: Don’t immediately invite her back for a splash about in your hot tub. Your intentions may be misconstrued. Taking things at an agreed more leisurely pace reaps greater rewards.
