[ClickPress, Wed Sep 20 2006] The Champagne Beaumont des Crayères estate has just launched two new prestigious champagnes: one made from Pinot Noir – Fleur Noire – and the other made from Chardonnay – Fleur Blanche. Beaumont des Crayères is looking for importers. It will be present at the VINEXPO trade show in Bordeaux in June 2007.

The Champagne Beaumont des Crayères estate is located in Epernay-Mardeuil in the heart of the Champagne region of eastern France. The Fleur Noire and Fleur Blanche champagnes produced by the estate are part of a range of traditional fine vintage wines and are made from grapes that are grown on small plots of vines. These tiny vineyards are cultivated with respect for traditional methods, while relying on traditional growing techniques.

The Champagne Fleur Noire vintage 2002 is a Blanc de Noirs, made from the best têtes de cuvée (the finest and purest pressing) of Pinot Noir grapes. The Pinot Noir gives the wine its candied fruit aromas. On the palate, delicate flavours of apricot and Mirabelle plum stand out. The Fleur Noire vintage 2002 has a natural and fresh taste. It is aimed at the gourmet market and is presented in black and white packaging. It is ideal for serving on festive occasions such as Christmas and the New Year.

Fleur Blanche is a 1998 vintage champagne, composed only of première cuvée (first pressing) Chardonnay. Chardonnay is a very delicate grape, with flavours of fresh almond and lemongrass as well as hints of cocoa. The Beaumont des Crayères estate has used its expertise to create a Blanc de Blancs designed to appeal to all tastes. It is ideal for special occasions.
In addition to the two new vintages, three main ranges of Beaumont des Crayères Champagnes are also available for the export market: the Grands range such as the Grande Réserve, Grand Prestige and Grand Rosé; the vintage range of Fleur de Prestige, Fleur de Rosé, Fleur Blanche and Fleur Noire; and the Specials range including Nostalgie and Nuit d’Or.

Beaumont des Crayères Champagnes are regular award winners in international competitions in Asia, Europe and America and represent excellent value for money despite their positioning at the top end of the market.

About Beaumont des Crayères

The Beaumont des Crayères estate was founded 50 years ago and today groups together over 250 small wine-growers whose combined vineyards cover 85 hectares. It exports 80% of its production.

The estate produces fine wines with complex flavours, using age-old methods from cultivation to vinification. The company, however, has invested in the most technologically advanced equipment, while sticking to a traditional overall approach to winemaking that is its hallmark.

Beaumont des Crayères will be present at the VINEXPO trade show in Bordeaux (France) in June 2007. The company is looking for importers and distributors.
