London 2012 Olympic bid: Neck and Neck with Paris

London 2012 Ambassador Ivan Corea who leads the Autism Awareness Campaign in the United Kingdom has welcomed a crucial IOC Report - the London 2012 bid was praised as 'excellent' in key areas. The Autism Awareness Campaign has urged all people with disabilities to support the London 2012 bid for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The key IOC Report has said that 68% of people in the UK back and support the London 2012 bid. The Report praised the London 2012 bid.

'We are in the last lap and London is within striking distance of winning gold. This is an excviting time, only four more weeks to go to that final decision in Singapore. I urge every one, including all people with disabilities to increase their support for the bid - London is a beautiful city, we are a diverse city and we have got what it takes to host one of the best Olympic and Paralympic Games the world has ever seen. The Olympic and Paralympic Games will be good for Britain, good for London, good for communities and good for all people with disabilities,' said Ivan Corea who was appointed a London 2012 Ambassador by Lord Sebastian Coe.

He has been very active visiting schools and community organisations urging people to back the London 2012 bid. Hundreds of people have been given badges, stickers with the message: Back the Bid.

The Autism Awareness Campaign UK are fully behind the bid and parents, carers and autists have been urged to register their support through the website www.ukautism.com

Prime Minister Tony Blair will fly to Singapore to lobby hard for the games to be held in London in 2012. David Beckham and a host of sports stars are also flying to Singapore to attend the IOC meeting on 6th July - the winner will be announced on that day.

'We are within striking distance of the finishing line and people can really get behind our country's bid by registering their support - lets make it 100%,' said Ivan Corea. 'Let's make Britain proud,' he added.
