Flux Makes It Easier (and Cheaper) To Get Quoted

Getting a quote for your car insurance can be a real pain. Which is why most of us stick with the same insurer. Adrian Flux Insurance is one company that’s trying to make it easier to get a quote.

[ClickPress, Mon Oct 02 2006] The company recently launched a ‘Text-a-quote’ service, to make it cheaper to get a quote if you’re on a mobile phone. It’s also offering an online quote service, even for unusual cars, such as modifieds, classics and imports (most insurers insist you call them for non-standard vehicles). And now Flux has switched to a free 0800 number for its quotes hotline. So, if you prefer to use an old fashioned phone to get a quote, you don’t even have to pay for the call.

“We’re trying to make it as painless as possible for customers to get a quote,” says Flux’s Gerry Bucke. “And while these initiatives are good news for them, they’re also good for us: once they checkout our deals and exclusive add-ons, drivers will often switch to a Flux policy.”

• Text-a-quote
From a mobile phone, text ’call me’ to 81232. You’ll get a text response from Flux followed by a call from an adviser, within two minutes. The service costs 50p, plus your phone service provider’s standard charge for a text.

Visit the Adrian Flux website and click on the ‘Quote Me’ button and choose between the ‘Quote Me Online’ and ‘Call Me Back’ options.
