Doff that apron, put down your knives, turn off your ovens - The Wine School of Philadelphia introduces The Moveable Feast – a series of wine classes and four-course dinners that cost an astonishing $51.99 a person.
This food and wine pairing venture was created by school founder Keith Wallace and debuted in January to rave reviews – participants loved the combination of an hour-long wine class followed up by a four-course meal featuring the foods of the same wine region just discussed. The first classes featured cuisines and drink from beloved Italian regions and were held at L'Oca Bistro. Wallace decided to continue on the Italian path.
"I was happy not to disappoint," Wallace notes of the first two Moveable Feast, "The classes showcased some great wines and Luca of L'Oca Bistro cooked up some fabulous meals. It was an easy choice to continue hosting the dinners at L'Oca for another month or two. Then it will truly become a moveable feast – I'm going to take this thing on the road – from four star restaurants to any number of local gastropubs. That's the nice thing about food and wine (or beer) - the possibilities are endless. And there are some damn fine cooks in this town, to boot."
