Heartwood Media celebrates a decade of success

[ClickPress, Thu Nov 16 2006] The iPod had yet to be invented, Prince Charles and Lady Di were getting a divorce, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average had topped 6,000 for the first time.

And Chris Conroy, president of Heartwood Media, Inc, saw an opportunity. Video equipment was becoming smaller and less expensive, and computer-based video editing was finally starting to fulfill its promise. With an equipment lease for an editing system and list of contacts, Conroy launched his video production business.

“It was a very exciting time,” said Conroy, “I had one or two projects lined up right away, and word-of-mouth about us began to really take off..”

Heartwood initially provided marketing and sales videos on VHS videotape. Ten years later, DVDs have all but replaced videotape, and Heartwood Media has grown into a full service production company, with offices overlooking downtown Manchester. Heartwood currently makes television commercials and marketing, sales and training programs in a variety of digital formats, for some of the biggest and best companies in New England.

“We’ve been fortunate to work with some top-notch clients over the years.” said Conroy. “I’m also proud that we have been able to be a player in the revitalization of Manchester’s economy.”
