www.easyodds.com News Alert; Everton v West Ham Betting Odds

After a great start Everton have hit a bit of a rocky patch only picking up five points in their last 6 games and going down 3-0 in midweek to Man Utd, so they will look to get back on track this Sunday in the live 4pm match against West Ham.

[ClickPress, Thu Nov 30 2006] The Toffemen still however sit in the top half of the table and will be keen to get their push for Europe going again. For me their problems seem to be on the road, only winning one, but they are a tough team in front of their home fans and have only lost once in their seven home games so far. P7 W4 D2 L1.
New summer signing Andy Johnson hit the ground running bagging two in their first game of the season, over rivals Liverpool, and although he’s banged in six goals so far, the last time he found the back of the net was back in September. He also could be an injury doubt after missing the midweek game over Man Utd, so my one concern if Everton want to win this is where are the goals going to come from?

Everton have only scored three times in their last 7 Premiership games with all those matches only had less than 2.5 goals in them. So at around 3/5 my first recommendation is to back less than 2.5 goals for a small profit. Visit www.easyodds.com for more odds.

Everton’s opposition here, West Ham, have been the subject of many off the field media attention so far this season with takeovers, potential manager sackings, and unusual summer signings. Just like their rivals here West Ham have be having trouble scoring with their last four league matches only being settled by a single goal, and probably can’t wait to get Dean Ashton back later this season. This form further backs up my reasoning to go with the under 2.5 goals, which is strongly advised.

The other point to make is Alan Pardew’s side are still looking for their first away win of the season in the league and at only 10/3 to gain it against a team hard to beat at home that price is not tempting enough for me. The draw at 9/4 is a slightly better option, while I think if David Moyles can solve his scoring problems than the 21/10 on them winning the match might look a big price come 6pm on Sunday.

Looking at recent head-to-heads this shows that West Ham won this fixture last season 2-1, but that was their only victory at Goodison Park in their last 10 visits, with Everton winning a huge 7 of those games. P10 WH 1 EV 7 Drawn 2
The other option if expecting a low scoring win for Everton is to also look into the correct score markets with 1-0 and 2-0 the best possibilities at around 6/1 and 15/2 respectively.
