South Shore Skin Center Appoints Jean Adams, RN, BSN

Jean Adams, RN, BSN, Nurse Manager at South Shore Skin Center has recently been appointed as Cosmetic Nurse Specialist. With offices in Cohasset and Plymouth, South Shore Skin Center caters to dermatology patients throughout the South Shore.

Ms. Adams, who currently oversees the medical assistants and esthetician as Nurse Manager at South Shore Skin Center, will also take on the role of Cosmetic Nurse Specialist. She will be responsible for cosmetic consultations as well as procedures such as Botox, Restylane, Collagen and laser treatments.

A resident of Carver, Mass., Ms. Adams became a registered nurse after graduating from Massasoit Community College in Brockton. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Curry College in Milton.

Ms. Adams has more than 30 years nursing experience. Prior to joining South Shore Skin Center, she worked for a local division of the Department of Health and Human Services for the State of Massachusetts. Prior to that she worked for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare in Quincy.

She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and regularly attends cosmetic conferences. She has received training through workshops and courses conducted by Allergan, the maker of Botox; Medicis Pharmaceuticals, the distributor of Restylane and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Ms. Adams, who works under direct medical guidance, has also received formal laser training by Dr Richard Eisen, who is a recognized expert in laser therapy.
