Software Firm Seeks Business Graduates to Lead Future Growth

Graham Technology is kicking off the first in a series of university workshops to secure the best business graduates coming out of Britain’s top Universities.

Talent spotters from the fastest growing technology company in the UK are targetting students at over a dozen business scools in the UK and Ireland, including London School of Economics, University of Oxford, University of St Andrews and University College Dublin.

Sue Miller, Graham Technology’s Chief Talent Officer, says this drive is different from the traditional recruitment fairs or milkrounds: " What we’re planning is a series of workshops that are as interactive as possible. We want to emphasise the fact that we’re a forward-thinking company with unique employment opportunities."

Sue continued: " The Training and Development Programme we have designed is called 21st Century Career Builder. Successful candidates will benefit from in-house training at the recently launched Graham Technology Academy. For a year, they will gain intensive hands-on experience in all parts of the business before being assigned to a member of the Executive Team for 6 months."

Director of Training at Graham Technology, David McKee says it’s a chance for exceptional individuals to shine and become stars in any area of the business: "This opportunity has come up because of the fact that we’ve been growing so quickly in recent months. In 2004, we opened up offices in Paris, Hong Kong, Auckland, the Netherlands, Malaysia and London.

"We have huge opportunities opening up at Graham Technology. We’re looking for people who can bring something to the party, whether that’s a foreign language or stunning common sense. We’re not looking for graduates who have just crawled out the library after 4 years with their head in a book. We want to recruit people who are capable of interacting, individuals who can do what a thousand others can’t.

"We are offering a job experience with a real difference. The graduates will get training in all aspects of the business, with the opportunity to lead, take part and drive forward Graham Technology’s growth on a global scale.

" We want people to determine their own career path, one that suits their skills. This is an opportunity for these graduates to sample different areas of the business. We get to understand where the individuals’ strengths lie and they get to find out which areas of the business they would add most value."
