Discussion Club Announced for Financial Firms

Following demand for an independent local discussion group, Clearconcepts announce a discussion club for retail finance firms in the North of England

[ClickPress, Wed Dec 13 2006] Clearconcepts have announced the formation of a retail financial services discussion club for firms in the North of England, to meet the needs of senior financial services professionals based outside of London that are focussed on customer care.

Each session will have a different topic for discussion, including: Treating Customers Fairly, complaints handling, customer communications, and industry regulations such as NEWCOB and MiFID. The club has been introduced in response to the increasing demand from financial firms in the north of the country to discuss issues relating improving the customer experience.

"Following the introduction of principles-based regulation by the Financial Services Authority, it has become increasingly important for financial companies to benchmark against others in their sector. In the Manchester and Leeds area, where there is a high concentration of retail finance firms, talking with your peers has become a regular feature of business life." said Richard Walbach, from Clearconcepts.

The forum will be held every month in 2007, the venue alternating between Manchester and Leeds. The forum will be attended by senior management with a customer focus in the retail finance sector.

The club will give attendees the opportunity to benchmark against other firms, exchange ideas, nominate topics and speakers and receive discounted rates to other Clearconcepts events. At the end of each event a written summary will be provided to all attendees.

• The Manchester/Leeds monthly meetings will be held alternately in Manchester and Leeds. The first meeting is on 15th January at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester.
