Bromcom MIS

This year at BETT, Bromcom will be launching additions to the nucleus of their MIS solution. Focal to this are the enhancements and additional features which have been incorporated into our MIS e-Registration product. These NEW additions include features such as a ‘My Reports’ facility which bring us closer to the paperless office, as well as enhanced security and multi year reporting. The multi year reporting option allows a seamless comparison of data and is a unique feature of the Bromcom e-Registration system. No other registration system on the market offers this!

Bromcom’s e-Exams software is also a major addition to BETT 2007. e-Exams is a module created by Bromcom to demystify and accelerate Exam Administration by using intelligent defaults. The software is very easy to use and reports can be generated for longitudinal analyses. e-Exams supports schools with the complete exam administration process; from importing the base data and identifying the exams to be used, through to the submission (and amendments) of entries, forecasting grades, organising the exam schedule and even analysing pupil performance.

Another product available from Bromcom is e-Rewards. This is a unique collaboration between school, shopping centre and LEA to improve pupil attendance. This new matchless concept has been implemented by Gateshead LEA, St. Edmund Campion School, Northumbria Police and the Metro Centre (one of Europe’s largest shopping centres). Pupils are rewarded with points for good attendance, and once a pre-defined threshold is reached they are eligible for rewards from the Metro Centre. These rewards could be in the form of cinema tickets, book tokens etc. Pupils are able to monitor the status of their points by presenting a personalised card to a kiosk installed in their school.

Many staff dread the time of year where they are required to construct the forthcoming academic year’s timetable. The answer to all timetablers’ prayers comes in the form of the Bromcom e-Timetable package. The software was developed in collaboration with school timetablers, to ensure that all needs were met. e-Timetable offers a multitude of benefits to staff. The drag-and-drop functionality, full colour-coding, no switching between screens, are just a few examples of why e-Timetable is taking the market by storm.

NEW Devices - Mini Tablet PC

Over the past 3 years Bromcom have been the market leaders in the deployment of Pocket-PDAs for use with e-Registration. In the consumer market Pocket PDAs have been extremely popular but experience has found that these devices are not always practical for use in an everyday school/college environment. Following extensive research Bromcom introduce the latest product in their comprehensive range of devices – the Mini Tablet PC

This lightweight handheld device comes complete with built in wireless capability as well as offering solutions to all of the shortfalls currently experienced with existing consumer pocket & handheld devices including 4x longer battery life and double the normal sized coloured touch screen. This product is showcased for the first time at BETT 2007.
