Chinese restaurant announces Qixi ‘’Night of Sevens’ festival for lovers. Aroma Group’s acclaimed new modern Cantonese restaurant in Wembley, Alisan, has announced a special set Valentine’s menu for £28 per person.
[ClickPress, Wed Jan 17 2007] The Valentine’s menu, available on Wednesday 14th February, comprises starters of Zhen Jiang Spare Ribs, Sesame Prawn on Toast, Roast Chicken with Shredded Mango (Thai Style) and Crispy Seaweed. The second course is Crispy Aromatic Duck served with cucumber, spring onion & pancake. The main course is Baked Salmon with Butter & Sweet Soy Sauce, Wasabi Lobster Tail with Almond Flakes, Stir-fried Beef in Spicy Yellow Bean Sauce, Deep Fried Enoki Mushroom with Snappy Vegetable and Fried Rice with Egg. The desert choice is Longan Tofu with Mint or Mango Pudding
The menu will be reprised on 19th August, for Qixi or ‘Night of Sevens’, the Chinese festival for lovers.
Alisan manager Keith Tsang said, “The Chinese equivalent to Valentine's, the ‘Night of Sevens’ is so called because it falls on the 7th day of the 7th month of the Chinese calendar.” This year Qixi is 19th August in the Western calendar.
