QC Industries Honored for Innovative Business Practices

The Cincinnati Clermont Chamber of Commerce has honored low profile conveyor manufacturer QC Industries with its Innovative Business Practices Award. This award is given to only one company in the region for “demonstrating unique and innovative practices, products, or procedures.”

This award is given to only one company in the region for “demonstrating unique and innovative practices, products, or procedures.”

“We are pleased that the Chamber of Commerce has recognized the outstanding efforts our employees have put forth over the last few years as we’ve worked hard to surpass our competition,” said David Dornbach, president of QC Industries. “This award recognizes the company’s commitment to innovation in the low profile conveyor industry.”

The award committee selected QC Industries based on the company’s recent performance and new product developments. QC Industries concluded 2006 with record breaking sales and several new products scheduled to come to market in 2007.

One such product is the company’s unique new InnerDrive belt conveyor, which features a safe and efficient motor that has been placed inside the conveyor’s drive pulley to save space. This unique design frees users from lubricating bearings and gearboxes.

Their soon-to-be-released Flextrac plastic chain conveyors will allow longer runs, higher speeds and heavier loads than the competition, while retaining the versatility and ease-of-use of QC Industries’ popular 125 Series belt conveyors. The company has also introduced new Lube-for-Life Bearings, which are coated with a solid Micro-Poly lubricant, making the conveyors maintenance-free and eliminating the risk of grease escaping from the bearing and contacting product on the conveyor. These new Lube-for-Life Bearings became the standard bearing on all QC Industries low profile conveyors effective January 1, 2007.

QC Industries now has 3D CAD models available on their website. More than 12,000 models can be downloaded and easily inserted into customer applications. The models include conveyor assemblies along with stands, mounts, drive packages and accessories.

QC Industries’ new website — www.qcindustries.com — was released in July. It has been completely redesigned and now features a blog, allowing the company and customers to quickly and easily communicate with each other. QC Industries is one of the first companies in its field to embrace this new technology.

The company has also designed a proprietary software package called the Conveyor Configurator for help in sizing and pricing conveyor applications. This new product is currently in the testing phases and will ultimately allow customers to configure conveyor systems and accessories in an easy-to-use interface that guides users to the most appropriate selections for their application.
