MEC Labs to offer additional openings for Feb.1 courses on paid search


[ClickPress, Wed Jan 31 2007] Marketing Experiments Labs (MEC Labs), an online research laboratory today announced it will begin its next Paid Search Management Certification course on February 1, 2007. MEC Labs has only 14 openings remaining for its February 1 program after surpassing full enrollment for its certification series in 2006.

During the Paid Search Management course, participants will learn how to create, manage and track a new pay-per-click campaign for their site. In addition to the hands-on learning experience, the course will also teach participants how to

§ Increase revenues using paid search,
§ Establish a systematic approach to testing and refining campaigns,
§ Understand how paid search creates the perfect test environment, and
§ Use paid search to refine organic search strategies.

The course will be taught by Dr. Flint McGlaughlin, founder of MEC Labs and Aaron Rosenthal, director of channels research for MEC Labs. McGlaughlin and Rosenthal have tested more than 1 million search terms on behalf of research partners like the New York Times, Reuters and the National Alert Registry, among others.

“Paid search is designed by scientists and business professionals whose focus is to maximize search engine relevancy and profitability,” McGlaughlin said. “It is imperative that marketing professionals understand the continuing changes in search engine algorithms, customer needs and the competitive market of paid search.”

The Paid Search Management course will consist of six separate sessions beginning with a live webinar. The remaining sessions will be made available online at staged internals. After completing the online sessions, participants must pass an online exam to receive their certification as a “Paid Search Management” professional.

The first live presentation of the Paid Search Professional certification series will be February 1, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. (ET). The complete course, including the presentations, complete recordings, print materials, examination and certification costs $595.
