First B2B partnership allows Free EDI for Lakeview customers
[ClickPress, Thu Feb 01 2007] The establishment of a fruitful partnership with leading EDI integration specialists First B2B has allowed Lakeview Computers Limited to offer customers free EDI traffic up to 100 kilocharacters per month.
Lakeview Computers Limited provides powerful, flexible software and systems for most areas of business management, accounting and manufacturing control. The addition of the Lakeview Global Gateway, powered by First B2B, gives users a number of exceptional advantages over other EDI offerings: fixed-price agreements for accurate and easy budgeting; a hosted “Software-as-a-Service” (SaaS) facility that demands no separate hardware and no special IT skills; an open system to accommodate any and all electronic trading message standards; implementation deadlines protected by a unique Service Level Agreement; AS2, the communications method becoming mandatory for more and more electronic trading communities, is provided free of charge. On top of all this comes the offer of free traffic.
Matthew Noonan, Lakeview’s Technical Director announced the savings: “Lakeview provides a fully integrated business control system that covers financials, sales and purchase order processing with invoicing, full batch and serial numbering stock control with works orders and bill of materials and a management reporting system which provides live information to allow you to make business decision quickly. Adding EDI integration to this already comprehensive package makes good sense for our customers. Co-operating with First B2B, the leaders in electronic trading via Software-as-a-Service, saved Lakeview months and months of bespoke programming. This has translated into time and money savings for our customers. Now we want to eliminate a significant portion of cost from our customers’ EDI bills.
Ian Ford, First B2B’s founder and Managing Director, commented: “Lakeview Computers are showing the way in their sector by partnering with an organisation like ours that can provide proven, top of the range, EDI integration. To try to recreate something similar would have been very difficult and enormously expensive. In working this way Lakeview have given themselves a technological lead over their competitors and it is good to see that they want to return that advantage to their customers through this exceptional offer."
