GoFileGo.com Launches New One-click Hosting Service

GoFileGo.com has announced the release of their new file-hosting service. Offering simple, one-click hosting with unlimited bandwidth, GoFileGo.com hopes to offer their service to bloggers and e-mail users who need to send large files.

[ClickPress, Sun Feb 11 2007] GoFileGo.com is proud to announce the introduction of their new file-hosting service. Now under new management, and with brand new server resources, the web startup hopes to help out bloggers, e-mail users, and anyone else who needs to send large files. Providing hosting for files up to 150MB in size, and putting no limits on their users download speeds/abilities, GoFileGo.com provides a streamlined file uploading process quite different from most uploading/sharing services.

The company is a fairly new competitor in the file hosting market, and is the brainchild of two web developers (Bill Snedon and Michael Cursher.) In 2005, they noticed that there were no mainstream file-hosting services offering a simple, one-click process for uploading and sharing files, so they began work on what would later become GoFileGo.com. In 2006, with the shutdown of the original site by that name, Snedon and Cursher took over the service and readied it for a re-launch. Now, in 2007, they hope to give web users worldwide a simple, no-hassle upload/download service -- completely free of charge.

Many sites offering similar functionality put severe restrictions on their users: download speeds are limited and long wait times are enforced -- often in an attempt to coerce them into upgrading to a paid account. GoFileGo.com attempts to change that, by doing away with the idea of user accounts and so-called "tiered services." Instead, every user has the same privileges, the same speeds, and the file-size. Although GoFileGo.com does have advertisements, they are there "to help us cover costs... not to milk money from our users."
