They say money talks, but senior executives are usually silent about salaries when they are interviewing for a new job. In fact, many job seekers see ineffective salary negotiation as the deal-breaker, especially in tough economic times when the competition is will to sell their services for less. In the next session of Experts Connection (www.experts-conneciton.com), Barbara Safani, founder of Career Solvers, will offer strategies to negotiate compensation in a session entitled, "Show Me the Money – Executive Compensation Negotiation in Today’s Marketplace." The teleseminar is scheduled for Wednesday, October 27, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. ET, (1:00 – 2:30 p.m. PT), and is sponsored by NETSHARE® (www.netshare.com).

Barbara notes that executives have always been uncomfortable negotiating their employment package, largely because they think to get what they deserve they will appear too aggressive. The savvy job seeker knows that negotiation is an integral part of the interview process and, if presented correctly, almost anything is negotiable.

In this 90-minute teleseminar, Barbara will offer a new perspective on salary negotiation for today’s economy. The presentation will include:
• How to change the negative perceptions of the negotiation process.
• How to gain confidence in your negotiation approach.
• Strategies to make the negotiation conversation more productive and more lucrative.
• Different items to negotiate as part of your employment package.
• Various communication techniques to increase your bargaining power during the negotiation.
• How to leverage these same techniques when negotiating a raise or promotion.

"In the current climate of economic uncertainty, executive job seekers are sabotaging their careers by negotiating salaries motivated by fear," said Katherine Simmons, CEO of NETSHARE and host of the Experts Connection teleseminars. "Your expertise should be worth even more when times are tough, because the skills and expertise you bring to the table will help the company succeed despite economic conditions. Barbara will explain to Experts Connections attendees how to leverage their expertise and how to gain the self confidence to negotiate what they deserve, not what they think their prospective employer is will to pay them."

The Experts Connection teleseminar series gives executives access to leading career experts. The cost of the seminar is $60, $50 for NETSHARE members, and access is provided via web and telephone. For more information, visit the Experts Connection online at www.experts-connection.com.
