[ClickPress, Tue Feb 27 2007] Les Jardins de Camille celebrates 15 years since its re-launch: it is a family-run restaurant in a converted farm outside Paris, just 15 minutes from the Place de l'Etoile and 10 minutes from the La Défense business district. Its rural setting on the hills of Mont Valérien offers a panoramic view across Paris and is ideal for business lunches.
At lunchtimes, the restaurant's bright and airy dining room is an ideal setting for business lunches. In the evening, the restaurant is lit by candlelight and offers a view across Paris. A team of 15 people work in the dining room and kitchen and there is also a valet service to take care of customers’ cars. The Poinsot family, which runs the restaurant, greet clients themselves, and efficient staff provide service throughout the meal.
Jean-Charles Poinsot, a fully qualified chef who trained at the Ecole Supérieure de Cuisine Française, has taken over the restaurant from his father. The menu is made up of refined and traditional gourmet dishes, and also reflects the chef’s Burgundian background. The menu includes delicacies such as escargots de Bourgogne and Foie gras of duck served with pineapple chutney and warm brioche. There is also an extensive list of Burgundy and other French wines available, along with aperitifs and liqueurs selected by Amandine Poinsot, who was named the best apprentice wine steward in 2005.
