devolo to Showcase New Satellite TV Transmission and Wireless Storage Solutions at CeBIT
Next-generation powerline adaptors deliver flexible home networking and entertainment over existing wiring
[ClickPress, Wed Mar 07 2007] devolo will be offering a glimpse into the future of home networking at CeBIT 2007 with the launch of its new dLAN NAT (Network Attached Tuner) and dLAN NAS (Network Attached Storage) home-networking solutions.
With data transfer rates of up to 200Mbps, the next-generation home networking adaptors give users high-speed network connections to bulk hard disk storage units and support satellite television transmission to any room in the house over existing electrical wiring.
The dLAN NAT enables users to stream HDTV-quality digital television to every room in the house over existing powerlines, removing the need for coax cables. Its integrated dLAN 200 adaptor feeds the SAT signal into the mains power circuit, enabling satellite signals to be received at any power point in the home, as well as digital-based terrestrial and cable broadcasts.
devolo will also be showcasing the dLAN NAS, a network disk with an integrated HomePlug AV adaptor which can be located anywhere in the house to provide wireless hard disk storage in every room. By connecting to the dLAN network immediately upon being plugged into a power point, the dLAN NAS enables users to access files from any room, removing the need for disk changing and burning DVDs with all file saving taking place via the electrical wiring.
According to devolo both products will be available from Q4 2007.
devolo’s market-leading dLAN HomePlug adaptors give users a high-speed broadband network connection at every power point in the house to support full multimedia home networking, including HDTV, video-streaming, and Internet telephony, enabling PCs, broadband modems and routers, games consoles and set-top boxes to be quickly connected to the network.
The devolo range is being showcased at CeBIT, Hall 13, Stand C20. For more details visit www.devolo.co.uk.

About devolo:
devolo was founded in May 2002 by former employees of the now insolvent German data communications and graphics card developer ELSA AG. Focusing on the consumer data communications marketplace, devolo has taken over all the technological expertise from ELSA AG along with the brand names and product rights for “MicroLink”. 20 years of experience in developing data communications solutions provides the ultimate foundation for producing a broad spectrum of high quality products. Whilst the UK will focus primarily on the MicroLink dLAN HomePlug networking range of products, the current European range also includes analogue modems, ADSL modems and focused networking technologies for private consumers and professional business users. Due to the many years of experience that our employees collectively possess, a relatively young company like devolo can assure the quality of its products straight from the outset. In addition, our in-house R&D team constantly ensure that a flow of innovative products are developed to match market requirements.
