Award recognizes outstanding women in the international business community
[ClickPress, Thu Mar 08 2007] Cathy Stalick, president of The Dalbey Education Institute, has been announced as a finalist for the Stevie Awards for Outstanding Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the efforts, accomplishments, and positive contributions of companies and business people worldwide. Beginning with The American Business Awards in 2002, The International Business Awards in 2003, The Stevie Awards for Women in Business in 2004, and The Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards in 2006, the mission is to raise the profile of exemplary companies and individuals among the press, the business community, and the general public. In short order the Stevie has become one of the world's most coveted awards. The New York Post called the Stevies “the business world's own Oscar Awards.” The Stevie Awards for Women in Business (formerly called The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs) are governed by a board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many leading figures in business.
“I’m thrilled to be honored as a finalist for this award, and I hope these awards show other women that it is possible to be an effective leader, a mother and a successful executive all at the same time ,” said Stalick. “My company’s mission is to empower others so that they can achieve success no matter what their circumstances. I hope this shows women that success in business is an achievable goal.”
Stalick was promoted to president of the Dalbey Education Institute after serving as the company’s chief operating officer and brings many years of valuable experience to her new position. She is credited with using her background in financial planning and organizational management to develop the company’s sales strategy and infrastructure to support its top-rated 30-minute television production Winning in the Cash Flow Business, which debuted in 2001. The company has grown from a five-person, home-based business in Boulder to a complete educational institute – featuring a classroom facility in Westminster and several distance learning classes online – that serves more than 400,000 students in eight countries.
The award winners will be announced in early March.
