MiFID Special Interest Group launched for Asset Managers

The financial services discussion club has set up a MiFID Special Interest Group for asset managers in response to demand from the industry.

[ClickPress, Fri Mar 09 2007] The financial services discussion club has set up a MiFID Special Interest Group for asset managers in response to demand from the industry.

The Financial Services Discussion Club was launched in 2007 and aims to provide a forum for the discussion of topical issues and exchange of ideas among senior managers from financial services firms.

At the first meeting of the MiFID Special Interest Group will take place on Monday 12 March and members will discuss Best Execution requirements, Outsourcing and Inducements. The group will meet monthly and cover topical aspects of MiFID, project progress and priorities.

Naomi King from Clearconcepts said,

"Short time frames for MiFID implementation mean that exchanging views and ideas in this area is critical. Peer discussion has proved to be one of the most effective ways for firms to benchmark and resolve issues."
