Globally, Athletes are realizing the potential of Brain Gym to improve their performance and various athletic programs feature Brain Gym in their training curriculum.

Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd says, “Brain Gym Exercises helps unclog a stressed & strained brain and restores the ability to learn and function with renewed vigor. It is very essential for sportsmen who are under constant pressure to perform, to be a tough mind player to outwit their opponents. Sreesanth has been a very committed and an avid learner. His belief in brain gym reflects in the way in which he has practically put to use these techniques to sharpen his Body Movements and Mind.”

Brain Gym is a set of exercises, which stimulates your brain and allows free flow of information through the networks of brain. Brain Gym enhances the ‘Kinesthetic’ ability of a person or the ability to control body movements and handle objects skillfully. Brain Gym Exercises bring dramatic improvements in concentration, memory, reading, writing, organizing, listening and physical coordination. Dr Paul Dennison and Gail E Dennison developed brain Gym Exercises in the 70’s to help children with Learning Disabilities. This technique was improvised later to form a new scientific approach called Education Kinesiology or EduK.

Sreesanth actually practices these exercises and feels it is essential for all sportsmen because they are under constant pressure. He said, “I practice all the seven movements everyday and the energy levels get to a higher plane when I am through with them.” He further added, “These exercises facilitate good thought flow, which improves my thinking, planning, concentration and focus, all essential ingredients for a cricketer.” He further added, “I am not 100% and feel low when I do not practice brain-gym, but on doing it I feel energized and charged.”

He practices these movements in his room and also does some movements time permitting when fielding.
