Equitrekking® Welcomes The Hideout at Flitner Ranch as Public Television Series Sponsor

100 Year-Old Working Cattle and Guest Ranch Sponsors First International Horseback Riding Travel Series

[ClickPress, Fri Mar 09 2007] Equitrekking, the first international travel television series to explore the world on horseback, is pleased to announce The Hideout at Flitner Ranch as a series sponsor of the first season of Equitrekking, premiering summer of 2007 on Public Television.

The Hideout at Flitner Ranch is a 100-year-old family run cattle and guest ranch set in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. Run by the third and fourth generations of the Flitner family, The Hideout’s mission of providing guests with a unique and authentic Western experience melds well with the authentic riding experiences the Equitrekking crew works to capture in their high definition television series.

Equitrekking crew members recently visited The Hideout to get a taste of the many activities offered on the quarter million acre ranch and view plans for the ranch’s innovative private residence club. The Hideout Club offers members the opportunity to reside within one of the planned eleven luxurious three-bedroom, three-bathroom homes on the ranch, each complete with five-star concierge services. With many American ranches in danger of large-scale commercial development, The Hideout is using its Club, along with its land preservation initiative, The Shell Valley Preservation Trust, to ensure its quarter million acres remains pristine, wild and authentic to the American West.

“The ranch is a stunning example of traditional Western hospitality. You can move cattle by day, trail ride on good trail horses, fly-fish and then sit down for a gourmet meal in a comfortable and picturesque Wyoming setting,” said Chip Ward, Equitrekking’s executive producer. “We are excited to premiere nationally on Public Television and welcome The Hideout at Flitner Ranch as a sponsor.”

Equitrekking’s first season includes episodes in Colorado, Spain, the Carolinas, Georgia, Wyoming and Vermont and premieres on Public Television the summer of 2007. Host and producer Darley Newman leads viewers to destinations best explored on horseback. The show’s companion website, Equitrekking.com, is a one-stop site where visitors can research and plan their equestrian adventures and watch video clips of horseback riding around the world.

“As we continue to welcome guests generation after generation here at The Hideout, we continue to provide an authentic American West experience,” said David Flitner, owner of The Hideout. “We share our work, our home and our friendship with guests. We are very happy to share our support for Equitrekking on Public Television, a show that is as unique as our way of life.”

Equitrekking first season premieres on Public Television summer of 2007. For more information visit www.equitrekking.com and www.thehideout.com. Please check your local Public Television listings for dates and times.
