[ClickPress, Wed Mar 14 2007] Atlanta author, Edrea Davis (“SnitchCraft”), will join several local writers for book signings and discussions during Beyond Your Ordinary Bookstore’s (BYOB) Birthday Bash. The event will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Auburn Avenue, between Hilliard and Fort Streets.

Released on Dogon Village Books, “SnitchCraft” is a fictional tale about a nightclub owner set up by a dishonest snitch. The novel sheds light on the timely issue of the reliability of confidential informants and corruption in the criminal justice system. Other authors participating in the event include: LaShell Williams, “Single Mother Breakthrough”; Latanya Riley, “ Why is Your House Bigger Than Mine”; Inga Parker, “The Struggle”; James Hickman, “Out of The Game; and, David Horton, “Negro Intellect”.

In addition to the featured authors, the BYOB celebration will present face painting, a fashion show, spoken word, poetry readings, story telling, performers, and food.

“I am honored to join Dave and Tonette Washington to celebrate Beyond Your Ordinary Bookstore’s first year of business. Their success is a major accomplishment in these difficult economic times,” said Davis, who was recently selected “Most Likely to Succeed” by C&B book distributors in New York, and nominated for an Author of the Year Award by the Georgia Writers Association.

Davis will also participate in the fourth annual Independent Black Film Festival taking place March 14-18 at various locations around Atlanta. For more information visit www.snitchcraft.com or email author@snitchcraft.com.

Featured in Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Little Girls", BYOB specializes in books, baskets, coffee beans, teas, t-shirts, black art, and hosts a talent showcase, "That's What's Up", every Thursday. For more information call (678) 480-0216.
