Discussion Club Announced for Edinburgh's Financial Firms

The Financial Services Discussion Club has launched a special interest group retail finance firms in Edinburgh.

[ClickPress, Thu Mar 15 2007] The Financial Services Discussion Club has launched a special interest group retail finance firms in Edinburgh.

The Financial Services Discussion Club was launched in 2006 and aims to provide a forum for the discussion of topical issues and exchange of ideas among senior managers from financial services firms.

Different topics will be discussed at each session, including: Treating Customers Fairly, financial promotions and customer communications.

The first meeting of the Edinburgh club will take place on 16 April at the Balmoral Hotel where members will discuss TCF: Managing the Provider / Distributor Relationship. The group will meet monthly giving members the chance to benchmark against other firms, exchange ideas and resolve issues.

Naomi King from Clearconcepts said,

"Following the introduction of principles-based regulation by the Financial Services Authority, it has become more important for financial companies to benchmark against others in their sector. In Edinburgh, a high concentration of retail finance firms means that there is an increasing demand for peers to meet locally and exchange views and ideas."
