DirectRooms.com – Earth’s most beautiful women can be seen in Nha Trang on 4 December 2010

Now in its 10th year the competition marks contestants on beauty and knowledge of issues related to the environment. More than 90 women will be representing countries from around the world and competing for the first prize valued at US$20,000.

The winner of the event will also represent the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme and be an ambassador for various other environmental causes worldwide.

Contestants will be competing in a range of activities to show off their beauty and also their knowledge of ways to protect the environment. Activities include street cleaning and the promotion of Earth Hour where non essential lights in households and businesses internationally are turned off for one hour.

The competition is one of the top three beauty pageants in the world and this year represents the only time the event has been staged anywhere other than the Philippines. The contestants will be going around Vietnam to promote destinations and meet with local residents to share ways to help protect surroundings.

Visitors staying in a hotel Nha Trang can see the contestants as they travel around the city and at the Vinpearl Land Resort where the final is being held on 4th December 2010.
