Candidate turns to internet in bid to secure West Lothian council seat

[ClickPress, Thu Mar 22 2007] A JOURNALIST who is standing in May's local government elections as an independent candidate has turned to the internet to create his own non-party political broadcast.

Eddie Anderson, a local newspaper journalist in West Lothian for 25 years, has used Google's equivalent of You Tube to upload his broadcast to the voters of Livingston South.

The broadcast can be seen on his website www.eddieanderson.co.uk

Eddie, currently operating at web-based West Lothian NEWS, said: "I don't have the resources of the major political parties, so hoped this would be a novel, as well as effective, way of attracting voters."
