The Web site, www.sarasota-ymca.org, was designed by Sarasota Web design firm, GravityFree, to provide current and prospective YMCA members, volunteers and supporters with a helpful communications tool, while serving as a valuable community resource for youth and families in need of social services and assistance.

The Web site, www.sarasota-ymca.org, was designed by Sarasota Web design firm, GravityFree, to provide current and prospective YMCA members, volunteers and supporters with a helpful communications tool, while serving as a valuable community resource for youth and families in need of social services and assistance.
The Sarasota Family YMCA is a unique non-profit organization, which provides numerous programs, and includes many facilities and shelters across a six county area within the state. The Sarasota Family YMCA has been at the heart of Sarasota for more than 60 years. Today, they touch more than 102,853 lives through four fitness branches and offer more than 60 youth and family development programs within six counties. By providing life-changing experiences and assistance to everyone of all ages, background, ability, race or religion, they bring alive their mission to build strong kids, strong families, strong communities.
The Web site encompasses a breadth of information about Sarasota YMCA, its programs, facilities and events within its three main focuses: Youth/Adult Fitness, Social Services and the Sarasota YMCA Foundation.
The Sarasota Family YMCA offers the best in fitness and wellness at four branches. The Youth/Adult Fitness section of the Web site provides membership information, branch locations and hours, and lists the fitness classes and programs that are available.
An important objective of the Web site is to help children and families in need find counseling services and other assistance. Under Social Services is information about foster care and adoption, youth and family services, education outreach services and the Safe Children Coalition - a collaboration between the YMCA and many local community partners who together provide a continuum of child welfare services for dependent children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
Another focus of the Web site is The Sarasota YMCA Foundation. The foundation is responsible for raising money exclusively for use by the Sarasota Family YMCA. Visiting the Web site makes it easy to volunteer, make donations and attend special events to support their initiatives.
