Parkers launches new integrated advertising for car manufacturers


Integrated brochure request enables direct engagement with consumers Tribal DDB develops first campaign for Volkswagen UK


[ClickPress, Thu Mar 29 2007] Parkers, the UK's No.1 consumer Car Price Valuation guide, is launching an integrated advertising opportunity on its site, www.Parkers.co.uk. Visitors to the site can research cars that they are interested in and click on a link to order a brochure. They can enter their details once and the system makes recommendations for other similar new car models which they may not have considered. The visitor can tick boxes on one simple form to receive brochures from a range of manufacturers.

Paul Hood, Commercial Director www.parkers.co.uk added, ‘Consumers are faced with a huge choice when buying a car, and are conducting an increased amount of pre-purchase research. This means that opportunities for manufacturers to engage with them on a one to one basis are declining. Our integrated brochure request service provides car companies a way to cut through to reach a pre-qualified consumer and initiate a relationship, whilst offering our visitors a useful service with a form they only have to complete once.’

Volkswagen is the first manufacturer to use the service making brochures available for their current range which includes the Golf, Polo, Eos, Jetta and Touareg. The campaign has been developed by interactive agency Tribal DDB London and Parakers.co.uk working together.
