DirectRooms.com is notifying those involved in the quarrying and natural stone sector of the world’s biggest natural stone trade event, India Stonemart 2011, slated to run between 20 and 22 January at Jaipur’s Export Promotion Industrial Park, a facility-rich exhibition centre

[ClickPress, Sat Dec 18 2010] The event showcases everything related to natural stone and its uses and is organised annually by the Centre for the Development of Stone both as an export promotion tool for Indian companies and a networking and business opportunity for international exhibitors.

One of the largest and most comprehensive trade show for the sector, India Stonemart attracts international exhibitors from a variety of countries including Italy, Turkey, China, Russia and the UK, all hoping to broaden their business scope in India. Domestic exhibitors are looking to source new ides, practical advice on the latest machinery and help on safety issues as well as filling their order books.

Over 300 exhibitors are expected to arrive for the show, with around 40 country
pavilions being set up. More than 12 Indian states will be represented by stone-cutter and quarry companies, with India’s famous white marble well represented. Displays will include natural stone products, packaging, safety equipment, related machinery, transportation and business services, and over 70,000 trade visitors are expected.

Due to the vast numbers attending the show, booking a Jaipur hotel near the venue is expected to be difficult unless done well in advance. Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, suggests early booking online and adds that savings on room rates is an added advantage of this approach.
