G-Wiz linking with the ‘Cars NOT Carbon’ marketing challenge
Cars NOT Carbon, an exciting new marketing challenge launched by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and sponsored by the Energy Saving Trust, has recently linked with the UK’s leading electric car manufacturer GoinGreen during a photo shoot featuring the iconic G-Wiz car.
[ClickPress, Tue Apr 17 2007] Liveried with the Cars NOT Carbon branding, the G-Wiz paraded around some of London’s most famous areas including Trafalgar Square, Notting Hill, Portobello Road and Hyde Park Corner.
This eye-catching campaign highlights the environmental cost of transport in terms of its impact upon climate change, and reinforces the need to reduce CO2 emissions from vehicles.
The G-Wiz proved to be extremely popular, generating lots of interest from enthusiastic passers-by who took pictures and asked various questions about the car, its characteristics and environmental credentials as well as information about the ‘Cars NOT Carbon’ marketing challenge. Even fellow drivers turned out to be very supportive, smiling and giving the thumbs up to the G-Wiz driver!
The Cars NOT Carbon competition has been designed to encourage creative and inspiring ways of communicating issues relating to carbon emissions, by inviting marketers and students to develop fresh new ideas to challenge existing advertising.
Future publicity stunts will be planned in the run up to the final call for entries on the 18th of May, and then the winners’ announcement at the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Annual Conference on the 28th of June at the Department for Trade and Industry Centre.
