Bus Stop Toy Shop Launches Largest Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Range in Scotland

On the back of resurgence in popularity of the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game, Bus Stop Toy Shop, a wholly independent Toy Store in Largs, North Ayrshire has launched Scotland’s widest range of Yu-Gi-Oh products.

[ClickPress, Fri Apr 20 2007] Since the launch of the GX Series of the prominent cartoon series, Yu-Gi-Oh, the Trading Card Game based on the series has been making a comeback in popularity in playgrounds around the world. Bus Stop Toy Shop, a prominent independent toy store in Largs, North Ayrshire, announces that it has massively expanded its range, to create the widest selection of Yu-Gi-Oh products available in Scotland.

Yu-Gi-Oh Dueling involves two competitors pitting their card collections and playing skills against one another. All the cards feature Monsters, Spells and Traps from the hit series of cartoons.

Bus Stop Toy Shop has seen sales of Yu-Gi-Oh products steadily rise since their opening last year. They recently launched a highly popular weekly event, where players can bring their card decks to the store each Sunday afternoon to duel against one another.

On the expansion of the range, Bus Stop Toy Shop Managing Director, Duncan Conner said “We take the game every bit as seriously as our customers do. They are loyal to us, so it is important to offer them the very widest range of products possible. Combined with our expert knowledge, we aim to provide the number one Yu-Gi-Oh service available.”

“A good Yu-Gi-Oh Deck is priceless to its owner, so we also offer a number of products designed to protect the cards from damage.”

Yu-Gi-Oh began life in Japan, as a Manga Comic in 1996 and made the transition to television in 1998. In 2001, the cartoon began airing in English speaking countries, with the card game based on the series following soon afterwards. The Yu-Gi-Oh World Championships began in 2002 and have remained a massive event ever since.

Nowadays there are well in excess of 2000 unique playing cards available, with huge effort put into acquiring the most sought-after cards. Single cards have, at times, fetched as much as $6000. In stores, cards are sold either in Booster Packs, usually containing 9 cards, or in complete decks of around 40 cards.
Bus Stop Toy Shop aims to stock all the latest card releases in the Yu-Gi-Oh world, as well as many old and sought after card sets.
