Innovative nuclear software technology company appoints Neville Chamberlain as Chairman.

[ClickPress, Wed Apr 25 2007] StructureVision Ltd, a company providing innovative software solutions to enhance safety and provide major efficiency and safety benefits to the nuclear waste management sector, is delighted to announce the appointment of Neville Chamberlain CBE, the former Chief Executive of British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) and former Chairman of Urenco, as its Chairman.
Mr Chamberlain has extensive experience within the nuclear industry having started his career as a health physicist with the UK Atomic Energy Authority in 1962. He went on to become Chief Executive of BNFL in 1986, spending 10 years in that role, before taking on the position of Deputy Chairman. He retired from BNFL in 1999.
Following his 10 years as Chief Executive of BNFL, Mr Chamberlain has held a number of other directorships and public appointments including Chairman of Urenco Ltd, the uranium producer, Chairman of the TEC National Council, a Board Member of the NW Regional Development Agency and a Non-Executive Director of Dennis Special Vehicles plc.
He is currently Chairman of The Manufacturing Institute, Chairman of the Cheshire & Warrington Economic Alliance and is the European Industrial Chairman of the Transatlantic Nuclear Energy Forum. In October 2005, Mr Chamberlain was appointed a Non-Executive Director of AMEC Nuclear Holdings Ltd and, in March 2006, he took up the Chairmanship of the Northern Way, a collaboration between the three Northern Regional Development Agencies: Yorkshire Forward, Northwest Regional Development Agency and One NorthEast, to transform the economy of the North of England.
In November 2006, StructureVision secured the investment of £300,000 equity financing from both IP Group plc, the intellectual property commercialisation company, and the White Rose Technology Seedcorn Fund, which provides funding for spin-out companies from the universities of Leeds, York and Sheffield.
