Offshore Bank Launches 5.90 Percent Bond with Emergency Access

Offshore savings specialist Bradford & Bingley International has introduced a fixed rate bond with the flexibility of an emergency access facility.

[ClickPress, Thu Apr 26 2007] Offshore savings specialist Bradford & Bingley International (www.bbi.co.im) have launched their latest one year fixed rate savings bond. Fixed Rate Bond Issue 28 pays up to 5.90% gross per annum and matures on the 30th of May, 2008.

The fixed rate bond has been launched with an additional feature offering the convenience of an emergency withdrawal provision. Customers needing access to their funds before the maturity date can do so subject to a 90-day interest penalty on the amount withdrawn. Traditionally funds committed to fixed rate bonds are locked in until maturity. This feature will give customers the flexibility to react to any unforeseen changes in either their circumstances during the life of the investment.

It will appeal to the many British expatriates residing in locations such as Spain, France and Australia who are looking to top up their monthly income with interest from their savings and also those wanting a fixed interest rate regardless of changes in the UK base interest rate.
